Brighton, MI— Conservative leader Mike Bishop made the following statement on Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett’s withdrawal from the 8th district congressional campaign:

“Mayor Bryan Barnett and Corrin have been good friends for many years and I have tremendous respect for both of them. Politics and campaigns will often get so focused on winning that they forget the human side of the candidate and all of personal and professional qualities and sacrifices that led them to serve their community. I know Bryan, and before anything else, he is a committed husband and father, whose love for family and community has led him to a life of public service. After many years of my own experience in representing the same community, I can say without reservation, that Bryan Barnett is one of the finest local leaders in the state and my hometown community is fortunate to have him at the helm. I have no doubt that Bryan will remain a committed advocate for the City of Rochester Hills and I look forward to supporting his continued leadership and working with him in the years to come.”
