America’s Foremost Defender of Second Amendment Rights Makes Sole Endorsement in Michigan’s 8th Congressional District
Rochester, MI – The Mike Bishop for Congress campaign announced today the endorsement of Mike Bishop by the National Rifle Association (NRA), the nation’s foremost, five million member strong, advocacy group for 2nd Amendment Rights. Nearly 150 years old, the NRA is also the nation’s premiere firearms education organization. With 55,000 instructors training roughly 750,000 gun owners annually, the NRA works with law enforcement and the general public to increase safety and responsible gun ownership in preservation of our 2nd Amendment Rights.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the NRA,” said Mike Bishop. “The NRA is widely recognized as a major political force nationally, with thousands of principled members in the 8th District, believing in our right to keep and bear arms. As an original Co-Sponsor of the Concealed Weapons Shall Issue bill in Michigan, as a responsible gun owner and as someone who has a CPL; this issue is personal to me and I will work hard in Congress to preserve our 2nd Amendment Rights.”
Mike Bishop is endorsed by current 8th Congressional District U.S. Representative Mike Rogers. He is also endorsed by Michigan Right to Life, the Michigan Farm Bureau, the Police Officers Association of Michigan and over 100 local conservative leaders in the 8th District.
