Brighton, MI –The Mike Bishop for Congress campaign announced that it raised more than $346,500 in the upcoming financial statement. The $346,500 is almost double the $185,000 McMillin announced raising last week for the 2nd financial quarter of 2014 that includes financial information from April 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014. Candidates have to file campaign finance reports by July 15, 2014.
“We are thrilled to have such a tremendous outpouring of support, especially when you think about the short time frame we had to build a campaign organization,” stated Mike Bishop. “Voters in the 8th district are responding to my conservative message and I look forward to continuing to campaign across the district over the next few weeks.”
Mike Bishop officially launched his campaign on April 2 and announced raising this money in the reporting period from April 2 to June 30.
Mike Bishop has been endorsed by Congressman Mike Rogers, Oakland County Executive Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard, and more than 100 other elected official and grassroots endorsement.
Mike Bishop is currently Chief Legal Officer for International Bancard Corporation and is also an Adjunct Professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Prior to his first election in 1998, Bishop was a private practice attorney, serving families, small businesses, and local governments. Bishop lives in Rochester with his wife Cristina and their three children.
