“The clear best choice for the GOP in Tuesday’s primary is Mike Bishop”
Brighton, MI – Today the Mike Bishop for Congress campaign announced the endorsement from the Livingston Daily Press and Argus newspaper.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement from the Livingston Daily,” said Mike Bishop. “I am proud that my record of standing up for conservative values, lower taxes, repealing and replacing Obamacare, and protecting those that are most vulnerable is resonating with voters.”
In their endorsement, the Livingston Daily Press and Argus said, “Bishop is fiscally conservative, anti-abortion and anti-regulation, and opposes the Affordable Care Act. Philosophically, he aligns with the conservative views of Livingston County Republican voters.”
In a recent poll, commissioned by the Detroit Free Press and WXYZ and performed by EPIC MRA, Mike Bishop held a commanding double digit lead over Tom McMillin with only two weeks to go before the August Primary election. The poll shows Bishop up 45% – 33% over McMillin; a 12 percentage point lead among voters in the 8th District. The lead surges to 52% – 32% or 20 percentage points ahead when voters learn about the endorsement of Mike Bishop by current 8th Congressional District Congressman Mike Rogers.
Mike Bishop is currently Chief Legal Officer for International Bancard Corporation and is also an Adjunct Professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Prior to his first election in 1998, Bishop was a private practice attorney, serving families, small businesses, and local governments. Bishop lives in Rochester with his wife Cristina and their three children. Mike Bishop is a conservative Republican running in Michigan’s 8th Congressional District.
