Bishop Outraises Gilbert in 4th Quarter; Bishop Has More than Double the Cash on Hand

Bishop Starts 2016 with $590,147 COH—Compared to Gilbert’s $254,252

Brighton, MI—The Mike Bishop for Congress campaign announced today that his fundraising in the 4th quarter of 2015 has once again surpassed Democratic challenger and IRS tax cheat Melissa Gilbert in dollars raised according to reports filed this weekend.  The Mike Bishop for Congress campaign also starts 2016 off with more than double the cash-on-hand advantage with Bishop having $590,147 compared to Gilbert’s $254,252.

“Melissa Gilbert’s poor spending habits continue from her personal life to her political life.  Gilbert owes $470,000 in back taxes to the IRS and has more than $60,000 in credit card debt in her personal life. Gilbert has spent her way to having a two-to-one cash disadvantage with Mike Bishop,” stated Stu Sandler, Spokesperson for Mike Bishop for Congress.  “It’s no wonder Nancy Pelosi supports Melissa Gilbert and her Hollywood values. With Gilbert’s record of fiscal irresponsibility, she would support the Obama-Pelosi policies which have caused this nation to have a $19 trillion debt.”

Bishop filed with $248,974 raised for the 4th quarter of 2015 with $590,147 cash on hand coming into 2016. Gilbert filed with $202,930 raised for the 4th quarter of 2015 with $254,252 cash on hand coming into 2016-along with her $470,0000 tax debt owed to the IRS.
